Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR)

 

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE

This programme is created to help lower income earner like fishermen, farmers and poor families without abodes, or dilapidated homes with access to land, to build and own more comfortable, affordable homes.

IMPLEMENTATION TECHNIQUES AND FEATURES OF RMR PROGRAMME

QUALIFYING CRITERIAS:

  • Malaysian nationality
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age and above
  • Monthly household income must not exceed RM3,000
  • Applicant and spouse does not own any property/ owns a dilapidated or rundown house
  • Suitable land that is free from mortgage / burdens. If the applicant is not the owner of the said land, they must obtain the approval of the owners.
  • Size of land must be no less than 3,600 sqft (depending on the design)
  • Subject to financing budget

NOTE:

  • For West Malaysian applicants above 42 years of age, a second applicant aged between 18-42 is needed.
  • For Sabah, Sarawak and island applicants above the age of 38, a second applicant aged between 18-38 is needed.

CLICK ON NEW APPLICATION Complete the login registration form
RECEIVE LOGIN ID AND PASSWORD Password will be sent to applicant
LOG INTO THE MAIN PAGE Use your login ID (email) and password provided to you to start your RMR application process
FILL IN THE ONLINE FORM Enter the necessary information into the system
COMPLETE THE FORM Click Form Application Done and Print Form
FORWARD THE FORM AND NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO SPNB Forward the application form and other necessary documents to your nearest SPNB branch office

DOCUMENTS NEEDED

  • A copy of applicant’s and spouse’s identification cards (if applicable)
  • A copy of land owner(s)’s identification cards
  • A copy of second applicant’s identification card (if applicable)
  • A copy of the latest land ownership grant, and official search certificate from the the Land Office
  • Latest payslips (3 months) / income letter of oath / applicant or/and second applicant’s income verification letter
  • Letter of oath / verification letter of not having a house, or owning a dilapidated house
  • Letter of approval from land owner(s)
  • A copy of applicant’s marriage certificate
  • Printed site report with pictures

NOTE:

  • Income verification letter / no house ownership / ownership of dilapidated house must be verified by the Village Head / Leader / Class A Professional Officer.
  • SPNB has the right to request for extra documentations on need basis, from time to time.

APPLICANT’S RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fill in a complete application form
  • Prepare pathway to the site & construction site according to specifications
  • Prepare water and electricity supply
  • Connection of main source to building
  • Open an account and making monthly payment (compulsory three (3) months downpayment as financing security)
